I also agree that the machines ought to be recalled. I had a number of problems when I purchased mine new in '97. They even replaced the entire washer for me but not without a big fight. I don't think the washer works well at all and now I have allergies....hum could it be all the black mold inside the washer? If anyone has any tips on working with Maytag on the many problems, please let me know.
