Living in Houston, Texas we get alot of mold and mildew on our outside bricks. Our home was built in 1980 with white & tan Mexican bricks. In the past we have power washed to keep clean. We do not want to power wash because of the wear on the bricks and mortar. I am getting an estimate from a brick sales man that uses a product that eats the mold and then follows up with a water repellant rather than an sealant. He says the sealant keeps the bricks from breathing and can be a problem. Please let me know what is the best way to handle this problem.
Thank - Nita
