Tankless vs Recirculating

Two different animals.
Tankless is suitable for instant hot water if all the using appliances are right together. This is not usual in the typical American home. Amd these things are expensive if you get one large enough to serve more than one sink.
If you have a tank-type heater and some of the users are distant, a recirculating system is a great idea. There is a new and inexpensive way to do this called the AutoCirc system and you can see at at www.lainginc.com. It mounts under a sink at the far end of the line and recirculates the water between the hot and cold lines right there. Thermostatically controlled with a timer to shut it off at times of the day you do not need it. They are well designed and well made; very compact.
