Ironic, I have men removing mine right now b/c my basement flooded and my non-friable tile was compromised. Cost me about 2400 but insurance is covering it due to the water heater leak. I live in NJ and my house looks like a hazmat zone. They cordoned off the area w/plastic. There is a special machine sucking out the contaminated air and some sort of air sample machine will be put in tomorrow. the results will be sent to the lab for testing. Then they will remove all of the wrapping, signs, etc. It isn't worth your health especially if you have young children in the house. After seeing the production this was I am so glad I didn't do it myself like I wanted to.
