which breaker supplies the receptacle and that it is off. Test the existing receptacle to be sure it off after shutting off the breaker. (Also make sure you don't already have GFCI protection to the outlet ie the breaker is a GFCI circuit breaker (ie has a push to test button on it)). Your new receptacle should have wiring instructions. You can refer to:

Keep in mind that the "line" refers to the wiring supplying the receptacle and that "load" refers to any additional receptacles downstream. Luck, Kizmet
