Well thanks for the confidence. Its a great idea I do think, and somewhat easy to do yourself.
Get a contrasting color carpet, something that goes well with your room. You will need to do the top cut method and instead of useing a hot melt tape you can use a cold seam tape that works very well for DIYers.
Any home emprovement store will have step by step instructions on these methods.
