No help in contacting Maytag..but....My unit is less than 6 months old with mold which MAY have contributed to my wife getting Pleurasy(swelling of the lining of the lung). Our Doc said she may have come in contact with mold and "Voila" the next day we notice a large ring of black mold in the washer. I dont know if it is connected but sure seems plausible. Maytag told me I was using the wrong detergent-Tide vs. Tide Free. It will take me a bit to digest that one....The ironic reason why I went with this unit was so that I wouldn't have to deal with issues associated with cheaper brands. wishing I could return it at only the 6 month point!!
