Currently, we are building a house and had the contractor stain the base board trimwork. After the fact, we have decided that paint would better go with our decor and flooring. Therefore I was wondering if I could paint over the stain without sanding, etc. and without reprecussions, i.e. staining showing through paint, etc.?
