I am interested in installing vinyl (fake shake) siding to three dormers of my house. Would you be able to explain the basics of installation, what pieces I will need (like for the starter row, going around windows, and the top row), and what tools are specific to this. Also what type of nails and does there need to be some baccking pu up first? I am going over vertical wood siding, like board on bat.
