Mildew smell in bathroom - mine too

I could take your posting and actually duplicate it here. My mildew smell is in an upstairs bathroom that backs to a closet and an outside wall. No visable signs of moisture or black mold anywhere. The smell is very strong. We built this house three years ago and the smell began last year, during rainy season (this is Florida) than stopped when we had a long drought. But its back now and seems more irritatingly stronger than before. Did you find the source? If so, how did you fix the problem? I wonder if this is something covered by home owners insurance??
