microwave venting

we did reverset the motor. We went into the cabinets above the microwave and took apart the duct and turned on the vent, we could feel a strong air flow up and out. The vent on the front of the microwave has no suction, neither do the vents below. The steam from cooking atop the stove just sits around and has already rusted out one door. We need to track down the instructions, we just replaced all our appliances and can't find the manual for this on (figures).
