** I need to replace my old Hotpoint wall oven. **

Why, can it not be repaired?

** Will I be able to put the new oven in the same cabinet **

Built-in appliances are not standardized in size (except dishwashers) and you may have a difficult time finding a replacement that will fit. Your best bet at finding a replacement is purchasing one from the same manufacturer, in your case GE (as they now own and make Hotpoint).

But if you have to replace it and can't find a replacement which requires the exact same size cutout, the product at the following link may be able to be used to fill in any gaps between a smaller model and the surrounding cabinets.

BTW. When building in an appliance, make sure it can be easily removed for service. Flexible hookups for dishwashers and gas ranges can make repair jobs less labour intensive. Also, leave extra electric cable when installing electric wall ovens and cooktops. This will minimize the time the technician spends on the job when repair time comes and reduce the cost to you.
