I'll have to give up on this one: When my microwave is on, you can hear the fan roar, but that is the recirc fan for the heating chamber...the exhaust fan has a separate button on the display (that will make the unit exhaust even if not heating). Yours is set up the same way? Can you hear the fan run when you have just the exhaust on? Luck, Kizmet
