Dryers heat up the clothes and generate lint and sometimes allergic reactions. The best way to check this is to compare the difference in allergic reactions between line-drying and using the dryer. Plastics and rubber and other synthetics are especially bad when they are dried on high heat. A simple clothes tree above the washer makes quick work out of drying shirts. Be in good health!
