Hi...I have seen this done on a television show for a house in the west...I think it was in Arizona. I will check out diff. websites and see if I can find the information on how this is done, as I can only remember so much. I do remember that they used foam forms and basically they poured a slab (this one had black pigment mixed in for a nice color effect) onto the reinforced cabinet base (concrete counters are very heavy). Anyway, they did use reinforcement, but I can't remember if it was rebar or remesh. I'll try to find out...the concrete was finished just like any ordinary sidewalk, etc with floats and corner tools.
