I am building a new house in Florida. There is a i/4 inch wide crack that extends from the front door through the back door and to the left toward one of the bed rooms. Does this seems normal. I also plan to lay carpet and tile in this area. I was told the concrete settles, but does it suppose to settle that much. I think it is a defect in the pouring of the slab.
Please help me understand this. This is a 3000 square foot house I am building.
