Vent it!!!!!. My friend has a home with a 10 year old home with a cathedral ceiling, R30 batt insulation and drywall underneath the rafters and not ventilation. None!
Guess what. The plywood roof deck on the North slope of the house totally rotted in several areas and the rafters partially rotted. Contractdor bids to correct the problem are from $35,000 to $40,000.
