Is that carsiding the upstairs floor? A single ply ?
The T&G upstairs flooring in log homes sometimes is the downstairs ceiling.........IF SO......I'd strap the bottom of the ceiling with furring strips every 16" and hang drywall....carefully scribing along the logs......
Actually I would wrap the logs in plastic before starting the project and wait to trim the plastic til after the finish paint was applied........
