caulk or Oakum

You could either get some masonry (polyurethane)caulk and fill it with that or use a creosote impregnanted hemp rope called "oakum". YOu simply take a hammer and chisel and gently pound the oakum between the two.

That crack may not in actuality be a problem. Unless it is directly in the path of water flow when it rains it may need nothing done to it.

The only real advantage to sealing it that i can see is that it keeps the bugs out of there.
