Removing a latex paint spill from a hardwood floor and furniture

Posted by Robert Benjamin on September 26th, 2003 12:14 AM

I dropped a quart can of white latex enamel on a waxed Bruce hardwood floor, spilling most on the floor and spattering a hardwood dining room chair. I was advised by Armstong customer service to allow the paint to dry, peel off what I could, and use mineral spirits and a soft brush to clean the residue.

I would appreciate feedback on this approach, and advice on how to remove the paint from the chair without damaging the finish.
