I got superglue stuck on my fingers tonight and tried acetone but it didnt help. So I found my spray can of WD40 and I sprayed that on my fingers and rubbed them well together and then rinsed of with warm soapy water and it worked a treat. Maybe it will work on your desk too? Why not give it a try. I dont think it will harm the desk, prolly only put a high shine on it.
