Painting over wallpaper.

If it is not a large area .....say a foyer or bath.....you might try adding a "texture" (kind of like spackling).
This comes in gallon or 5 gallon cans & you apply-with a trowel. Makes an uneven textured wall - similar to an english tudor look - you then paint over it. The texture will "hide" all seams and any imperfections on your walls.
Looks great -- I did our foyer - quite large. It is rather messy but much easier than stripping wallpaper.
