Garage Door Remotes Confused

Six months ago, purchased a Sears (Lift Master) 1/2 hp
with two 139.53681B (2/98) 'gray 3 button controllers' that worked
great. Other garage opener was old style dip switch select Sears unit
that required separate controller. Old unit finally broke primary
sprocket, and replaced entire unit with new Sears 1/2 hp with two
139.53879 (8/99) blue button controllers (Security +). Problem: Cannot program or use all four (2 gray button, 2
blue button) for both opener units. Can use only the gray button
remotes for both openers, or use only the blue button units, but not
combination of both. The gray button unit has standard wall console, (no light
or lock control button), new unit Security + has Premium Console
with light and lock switch. How can I program all four controllers to work on both
openers?? Please HELP!! Thx, Tom Loggans
