I just put two garage doors in my new house. One is a 18 x 8 and the other 9 x 8. Both are insulated with metal backing (very important). I bought them through a private building materials company and paid $450 for the 9' and $850 for the 18', plus $30 each for the extensions. To install them both was only about $300. The key is to look at the quality of the insulation, the door itself, and the installer (make sure they will stand behind it because adjustments may be needed later).
