In a ridge vent, on a rancher, what is the ridge vent supose to be. What is the metal on the ridge vent, the length coming down on the metal and the opening underneath the the metal. For instance is it 6" or a 12" over hang. Is it suppose to come out over the end of house and how far to prevent rain from blowing in.
