PERMANENT concrete patch

I have an old drain depression in my concrete basement floor. I want to patch the hole and level the surface. Most of the cheap latex patch cements seem to crack out in a year or two. I want to do a permanent quality job. What materials do I need and how do I apply them. I know the edges will be feathered out to almost nothing and the center will be about 2 to 2 1/2 inches thick. I would appreciate any help you could provide.
