Yes the chimney will be functional when completed (no not in use now). There is a wood burning stove in the hearth now. I would like to keep it, looks in good shape. (Appalachian Stove Co) What else needs to be done besides restoring the chimney above the roof line?. Sorry it has taken so long to reply, I though I had it set up so when someone answered my original ? I would get an e-mail. Just decided to check back and saw the replies.
