OK - this is it! My 3 year old drew on my new, maroon leather sectional. I tried the stain remover that came with the couch - nope! What worked (completely) is Acetone. You can get this at any hardware store. This is a very strong stain remover, so you must be careful. Do not put it directly on the stain, but onto a rag. It dries super quick (the first time I tried my rag was completely dry by the time I went from the basement up to the couch!), so fold your rag a few times in order to get enough on it. Start carefully in a small area. It comes up instantly. My couch is maroon, and I did get some maroon staining on my rag, so obviously it does take up a little of the color, but it doesn't take much rubbing, so just a quick little rub and then wipe off the excess should do it. If you work it in too much you might take the color out of your leather. I followed this up with a leather conditioner/protector, as the Acetone does kind of strip the natural oils out, and it looks perfect - you can't even tell anything happened. Whew! I was really worried there for a while! Hope this helps someone else!
