This would be a good time to contact the realtor, or the previous owner and request that the prior owner provide complete instructions. This is customary in the transfer of a home, whether it involves complicated solar heating systems, irrigation, or anything else that might not be intuitive to operate. Especially if there is no manual available. If the previous owner is not available in the area, a reputable HVAC or mechanical contractor can be retained to evaluate the system and provide instructions. This will cost a service call, but the system will get a professional once-over, killing two birds with one stone, as they say.
