This has probably been discussed many times before, but here goes...we built a new house (and new septic system) and this will be our first winter in it. Because we were indecisive about what to do with our yard-we didnt do anything. So we have no grass cover-only some weeds. Because we live in Minnesota I am worried that we will have problems with the tank once in gets very cold and the ground freezes.
Do I need to get something to cover it (hay, straw, ect) and if so, how do I keep everything from blowing away?
I am new to septics so any information you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
