Cracking in brick house exterior

My house is has a completely brick exterior. The weather side of the house is exhibiting cracking in the brick, and some circular discolorations in the middle of the brick. The house is approximately 60 years old. Is there some product that can be applied to seal the cracks, or is this the type of project that is only handled by professionals? It is only some bricks, not all, that are affected. It appears the former homeowners tried repairing by putting mortar in the cracks. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
