Check and measure the jamb length to determine height to finish floor/level and trim the jamb if necessary.......
Pull one jamb screw per hinge........remove second trim or clamshell.......remove any "doorstop" shipping hardware...........
Place the door assembly in the opening tight to the trim.......Use short shims behind each hinge location and drive a long screw thru the jamb and into the framing on the hinge side........
Open the door and check for plumb along the hinges......now is the time to be "anal" about perfection....adjust the screws/wedges .......
OK.....Set the level aside and using the door as your FramingSquare/gauge........set the "reveal" across the door top and latch side using wedges and 10d nails........keep the trim tight to the wall surface.........
Check for swing...reveal...latch...fit and finish
Now is the time to adjust any problems........
Finish reapply the second trim or clamshell.....Nail/pin the trim to the wall...both sides
