My new house I want to put a small patio and side walk out to the street with flagstone. Does the concrete underneath have to be smooth or will it adhere to the mortar better if it is rough. Are there any how to's on laying flagstone with mortar. Also can I rent a saw to cut the flagstone somewhere?
