In reply to removing linoleum from hardwood floors by colleen on August 14th, 1997 12:41 PM [Go to top of thread]

I have begun tonight tearing up old Linoleum that the previous owners put down because the woman was in a wheelchair. I am not so much concerned with asbestos, as I just want to get it up fast. Have hardwood floors underneath. House built circa 1950 as part of the armed forces rehousing. The whole neighborhood was bought up by people paying 10 for the lot and 100 for the house. All I want to do is take up the linoleum in the hallway which has hardwood floors underneath. I have just spent three hours pulling up about 2 square feet. Any easier way? Thanks Lisa
