This is how ot get paint off a leather couch : Posted by Kelsey on October 13th, 2003 11:51 AM In reply to paint on couch by donna on January 18th, 2003 06:16 PM [Go to top of thread]
Alright, well when I first accidentally spilt paint on my leather couch, I thought I was doomed. I decided to try using some hydrogene peroxide on it, thinking it may strip the paint off - which was a bad idea- it ended up leaving a black mark when I tryed to scratch it off. Anyway, the way to go about this is to get some acetone (which yes, may be found in the paint itself ) from a local hardware store, and put a small amount onto a rag. It drys fast, so quickly take it over to the furniture, and rub it gently. The paint shouldn't have a problem comming off. Next, to recondition the leather, I used some maroon ( seeing how my couch is maroon) shoe polish to buff it up a bit. Hopefully this will help ! Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
