Wood Porch Deck Renovation ?

The porch deck is tongue and groove vertical-grain douglas fir 1" X 3"s; a typical old porch. The outer ends of the boards are splitting and deteriorating from exposure to water in the wintertime. Is there a product that will restore and preserve these boards. I have heard of a resin that penetrates the wood. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
