buying asbestos siding home

Hi, we're trying to decide whether to puchase a new house with asbestos siding or not. We have a 14 month old son and plan to have more children soon. Would we have to be out of the house for long while this is being removed? Can we live in the house for a couple of years without removing it? What if some of the shingles get destroyed by the weather. Will this be a problem?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
