Marti, there are 2 ways to go. You can have doors made to fit the opening but this will be VERY expensive because of the custom woodworking and door making required.

The other option is to take the walls down to the framing in that area, reframe, then install new doors and replace the plaster. This will just be expensive.

It's impossible to offer any realistic cost estimates because we have no idea of sizes and what work would have to be done. One way that you could start is to take measurements of the opening as it is now and look at architectural salvage sites on the web to get an idea of what doors might be available that way. When you get a better understanding of the cost of the doors, the cost for the rest of the job will be the easy part.
