I have a pier-and-beam house in Houston, Texas that was built in 1946. I would like to know if I should install a drainage system to keep pooling rainwater out from under the house and piers? A handyman suggested that I line the perimeter of the house with a mound of dirt to keep water from entering under the house. Any suggestions? Thank you.
