I had an electrician connect my tub but I am not convinced it is correct and the town inspector will be coming out next week.

The electrician put a 50 amp breaker in my main panel and ran 60 feet of sheathed electrical cable 6-3 with a 10 awg uninsulated ground across my attic stapled to the rafters. He exited my home through the soffit into pvc conduit into a 50 amp gfci box mounted on the home. From the GFCI he ran the same 6-3 sheathed electrical cable and ground through conduit burried at least 18 inches to the hot tub. The tub calls for 50 amp of service and has a 24vdc light. I just am not sure about the run from the GFCI to the tub. I thought it needed a different size ground insulated and did not think you could burry sheathed electrical cable outside in conduit.

Any help is appreciated.
