caulking trick

If you're not really good at controlling the flow out of a caulk gun and tend to "blob" it all over, a little trick to getting a smooth finish is to fill a dixie cup about 1/2 way full of water and put a little liquid dish soap in there.

dip your finger in it and smooth out the caulk. It helps prevent the caulk from sticking to your finger and leaves a nice smooth edge.
