12 years ago I had wallpaper installed. Some of it was pasted over existing 50 to 60 year old wallpaper. I just tried to remove it and forgot one wall was double papered. I tried to remove about a 3" x 4" piece and it was fused to the wall. So I removed just the top layer. The problem is that the wall is not smooth now. There are some small gouges where the new paper pulled up some of the old. I will not be able to remove this paper. Most of it is fused to the wall and the wall is old plaster. It is not like just replacing drywall. Is there a simple solution that I can do myself without calling in the reinforcements??
