My suggestion to you is the following: Buy a ROTO-TOOL,(it is a souped-up dremel tool) and use the cutting bit to cut around the nails and remove the wood. Then return to the remaining nails, and snip them off with a pair of horse shoe clippers. Then once again return to the now snipped off nails and punch drive them up into the raftors 1/4 in or so, and fill with the hole with plaster. A little sanding a little blending and WAH-LAH!! You now have a beautiful ceiling, less the idiot.
