You need:

One Razor blade

Woodwork glue

Find an obscure part of your carpeting EG: in a robe, behind furniture.
Run the razor over the carpet to create a thick 'fluff' type ball.
Mix with a small amount of glue and poke into the burn mark.
The glue dries clear, however, the hole will be a little 'stiff' at touch.

The trade off though, it will make the hole disappear.

This works for a low pile carpet.

Cheers
