How Do I Separate Pressure Washer Pump From Engine

I have a Coleman Powermate Clean Machine 1500 pressure washer that was left out in freezing weather and the pump housing broke. I want to replace the pump but cannot figure out how to separate the pump from the engine. I have removed the bolts that fasten the assembly to the frame and the pump rotates separatly from the adapter, but will not move away from the enging drive shaft. Any help will be appreciated.
