I have tried to refinish an antique table that I believe is made out of birch. I sanded it down to bare wood and then stained it with Minwax. It was so smooth and looked so good until I polyurethaned it with a satin finish. I used poly I had for floors, thinking it would be durable and handle wear well. Now the table top has dimples all over it, and i am sick! Please help!
