I have artilliary fungus on the rotted wood chip in the yard. They are ruining my porch with the tar like substances they shoot up to 20 feet.
My homeowners policy does not cover damage caused by mold or fungus. This is a common clause they bury in the fine print. I would look at your policy very carefully!!!
Try some web searches on that fungus for more. I found articles by several universities on mine.
