Hi there. I am NO expert and haven't yet done this project...but I am going to do the same thing. I actually plan on having someone do it....right...bc I won't! But you can nail right through the tile into the wall stud! I don't plan on glueing at all! I am going to put a nice big cap moulding on top so that you can't see the gap bw the wall and wood.
