I too have a kitchen with a limited number of metal cabinets by Youngstown, put in there in 1952. I am not sure they are in great shape, but I'm not willing to sell. Rather I want to add on, and may be willing to purchase some more Youngstown metal cabinets to put up along the higher areas of the kitchen, including a shelf (?) for microwave. Any ideas? If I can't do this I may just go ahead and splurge for a total tearout and replacement for new materials. Not sure if I want to spend the $10,000. All this old stuff is perfectly usable though, including the old GE range just like my grandmother owned.
