Outdoor Fireplace

I'm looking to build an outdoor masonry fireplace and am looking for some instructions/literature on how to build the chimney to get the correct "draw."
I don't have the money to pay for an expensive Isokern type pre-cast unit, but have a lot of bricks and blocks!
Can anyone please advise?
